Is HAARP Manipulating Our Weather?

Posted by admin on Jan 31, 2012 in News, Science & Technology, Unbelievable

HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Reasearch Program) is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska, and the DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).

HAARP has been blamed by conspiracy theorists for a range of events, including numerous natural disasters. Various scientists have commented that HAARP is an attractive target for conspiracy theorists because “its purpose seems deeply mysterious to the scientifically uninformed”.

OrcaM or 3D Scanner

Posted by admin on Jan 25, 2012 in Science & Technology

Scientists at the Germany’s Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and engineers of the NEK Ltd. have been working on the project OrcaM (Orbital Camera System), a giant automated 3D scanner which builds 3D models of any objects automatically and able to produce perfect digital copies of any object.

This clip demonstrates the OrcaM 3D reconstruction system.

OrcaM is capable of producing an accurate, digital 3D model of objects up to 80cm (about 31.5 inches) wide and weight up to 100kg (around 220lbs) and with a geometric accurary less than millimeter (nearly .04 inches). Also it produces complete color, texture and reflectivity maps so that every minute detail is accounted for.

Holographic Television

Posted by admin on Jan 21, 2012 in Futurism, Science & Technology

Holography is a technique that allows the light scattered from an object to be recorded and later reconstructed so that when an imaging system (a camera or an eye) is placed in the reconstructed beam, an image of the object will be seen even when the object is no longer present. The image changes as the position and orientation of the viewing system changes in exactly the same way as if the object were still present, thus making the image appear three-dimensional.

On the holographic TV, images is going to be forecasted into the center of an area like a “cloud” that may be seen from every position without three dimensional glasses, and producers hope they might continue purchase in 2012.

Nanotechnology

Posted by admin on Jan 21, 2012 in Education, Science & Technology

Nanotechnology or “Nanotech” is the study of manipulating matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Generally nanotechnology deals with structures 100 nanometers or smaller, and involves developing materials or devices within that size.

Dr. Ralph Merkle explains the Basics of Nanotechnology

There is much debate on the future implications of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology may be able to create many new materials and devices with a vast range of applications, such as in medicine, electronics, biomaterials and energy production.
